Description: This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. We aim to cover all subjects and languages. There are now 4391 journals in the directory. Currently 1685 journals are searchable at article level. As of October 28, 2009, a total of 321,110 articles were included in the DOAJ service.

Special Features: The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is used by faculty around the world to find peer-reviewed journals where they can submit their work, as well as to find journals where they will have open access to the peer-reviewed research of colleagues. In these ways, the DOAJ enhances the value of open-access literature and helps connect authors and readers.
